Will I be prescribed weight loss medications?
If you are struggling to lose weight and believe you can use the extra support provided by appetite suppressant medications, and if they are appropriate for you medically, you may choose to take them, but you are not obligated to take them. It is a very personal and individualized decision which should be discussed with the medical provider. Generally speaking, weight loss medications have great results. There is no “magic bullet” for weight loss. Medication is a “tool” to assist in the weight loss process. In our practice, medications are prescribed only in conjunction with following a sensible calorie controlled nutrition plan. Taking medication while eating sensibly will greatly enhance the effectiveness of the medication. They are many different medications to assist with the process. We’d have to evaluate you to see what medication would be most appropriate for you and you will be carefully screened for any contraindications.
Is the medication that you use considered safe?
Yes. All the medications that we dispense to patents are FDA (government) approved.
Why kind of medications are available?
Several safe and effective prescription medicines and natural supplements can be used to suppress hunger and add support to your dietary and lifestyle plan. Appetite suppressants do work, and can be very useful in kick-starting a diet. They also increase your metabolism, and your energy level. Prescription medications, for example, have been shown to increase weight loss by 50-100%.

What medications do you use?
We have chosen three different appetite suppressants: Phentermine (Adipex P; lonomim), Phendimetrazine (Bontril), and Diethylpropion (Tenuate). You and your provider will decide what is best for you during your visit. We also offer HCG and B-12 injections as other options to aid in your weight loss. All medications will either be given in our office or dispensed from our office. No extra trips to the drug store.

Do I have to be a certain weight to receive diet pills?
Yes. You must have a BMI of 25 (overweight) or greater to receive appetite suppressants. After you reach your goal of normal weight we will allow you ample time to transition off the pills. You can, however, continue to use HCG as long as you like because it helps with inches and is safe for long term use.
